Steven Ngo: 2 Kids, 5 New Reflections

Our inner energy carries through in our interactions with our children, and translates into the way that our children react to us. When I am able to just be fully present with my daughter, there is a positive shift in the energy, and her reaction towards me.
— Steven Ngo

In this special solo episode of 2 Dads 1 Car, I share five reflections since recently becoming a dad of two children.

In this episode, I compare the early day experiences of my firstborn and secondborn daughters, and the sense of ease, familiarity, and competence that comes with raising a young infant as an already-experienced parent. I also reflect on the importance of being present, open, and sensitive to the needs of a young infant as they enter the world. This episode rounds out with a discussion of gratitude, and learning how to appreciate and enjoy parenthood as a communal experience of mutual support and care.
