Victor Kong: How to Raise Anti-Fragile Children

Rather than shield my kids from social media, AI, or the economy, it’s my idea to just prepare them for it, and we plan to do that through intentional discomfort and helping them develop agency.

In this week’s episode of 2 Dads 1 Car, we speak with Victor Kong, a dear friend of mine who is currently undergoing the exciting journey of moving his family (wife, and a young son and daughter!) to the Philippines.

In our conversation, we focus on the topic of how to best prepare our kids for their entry into society. Launching from the idea of moving to the Philippines and raising his kids to be anti-fragile, Victor shares his views on conveying the importance of autonomy to our children, and preparing them for a world that often yields unexpected outcomes. Ending on the topic of raising children in the age of AI and social media, Victor and I discuss how raising our kids to be better informed users of the internet gives them the freedom and resilience to develop wholesome and meaningful relationships in the digital age.

Thanks so much for tuning into this episode, and big shoutout to Victor for taking the time to speak with us! Please check out @victorisfree on Instagram for more of his content, and @2dads1car for our latest updates. I hope you love this episode!
