Blake Gansborg: The Outdoor Dad
“It’s a little different, and especially in the beginning, a little harder. But it’s more about just seeing him enjoy the outdoors, seeking that spark there, and the potential for him to have more fun doing it, and then doing it with him in the future.”
This week on 2 Dads 1 Car (coming to you from Denver, Colorado!), we speak with Blake Gansborg, an attorney friend of mine, and a true nature dad of a young son.
In this episode, we discuss ways in which fathers can help their children face fears and new experiences. Blake discusses his experience navigating the mountains and camping with his son, and how he takes those opportunities to cultivate his love for the outdoors. Ending on a contemplation around community, we talk about the meaning of service and finding our direction in helping others. We also speak about how we build those values of community in our children by playing leadership roles in our neighbourhoods.
